Christopher (Chris) Nicholas is an Associate Transportation Planner at Caltrans Headquarters where he works in the Office of Smart Mobility and Climate Change solving complex transportation issues. Chris has over seven years of transportation planning experience and has worked on projects such as: Socio-economic data forecasting, long range planning, bicycle and pedestrian plans, policy analysis and public participation planning. Before joining Caltrans Headquarters, Chris was a Senior Transportation Planner at Crater Planning District Commission in Virginia where he worked with local governments to create transportation plans and policies for transportation needs within the metropolitan planning area of Central Virginia. Chris graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a BS in Architecture Design and received a Master of Urban Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University.
